Local rugby club battersea ironsides

We have twice assisted in the external and then internal refurbishment of the rugby club which has the largest minis membership in the country.

EMPIRE BUILDERS SUPPORTING JUST SHELTER – AN AMAZING COMMUNITY GROUP

We helped design and build lightweight pre-fab shelters. 10 of the shelters were then constructed out in the Calais Jungle before it was cleared. We continue to support Just Shelter and their various initiatives

Comunity_School prize

Supporting local community projects...

We at Empire are supporting a fantastic local community project – Paradise Co-Op. They have set up community farm on land kindly provided by Wandsworth Prison and are busy bringing this forgotten piece of land back into use.

The farm includes a few pigs, a large natural pond, beehives and a series of raised beds which we built in association with Hitchcock & King who donated the railway sleepers – all 90 of them! They are also running an educational program with a local school which they are hoping to roll out more widely.  

We have helped to build the external fencing, picked up piglets in our truck joined the clearance team and continue to look for opportunities to help the farm develop.

Primary School

We love to help out at the school that educated our children when they were younger and now educates the children of many of our clients. Every Christmas we unload the Christmas trees purchased by the parents as part of a PTA initiative and give a prize of fizz for the best dressed teacher on World Book Day.

We also help set up and set down the summer fete each year and have provided a reusable giant Christmas tree, high vis jackets for school trips and even medals for the netball team amongst other things.
